The Role
We are seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join our Norwich office. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, contributing expertise while continuing to grow within a supportive and ambitious team.
As a Consultant Ecologist at Enims, you will:
• Lead ecological surveys, assessments, and monitoring programmes.
• Deliver Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) strategies and integrate them into project design.
• Provide technical input into Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and habitat management plans.
• Guide and mentor junior colleagues, supporting their development.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver innovative, practical solutions.
• Contribute to the full lifecycle of projects, from scoping and design through to delivery and monitoring.
• Undertake regular travel to project sites, often covering significant distances, as a core part of the role. Flexibility, resilience, and readiness to travel are essential to supporting clients and delivering projects on the ground.
• Complete mandatory training to ensure professional standards and compliance are consistently upheld.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a strong background in ecology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
• Brings practical experience in ecological surveys, assessments, and monitoring.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a car.
• Is dedicated, hardworking, and passionate about ecology and sustainable landscape design.
• Is pragmatic, adaptable, and able to balance technical rigour with practical solutions.
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of an established, supportive team.
• Is keen to continue developing their career while contributing expertise to exciting projects.
