Enims are proud to announce that we have successfully become members of CIEEM the leading professional membership body representing and supporting ecologists and environmental managers in the UK, Ireland and abroad.
This accolade will mean that we can join CIEEM in their vision of a healthy natural environment for the benefit of current and future generations.
For our clients this means we will be part of a well respected network of knowledgeable people and businesses who are at the forefront of transforming understanding of, and attitudes towards, protecting and enhancing our natural environment.
By working together, we can make a difference, leading to a world rich in biodiversity for the benefit of us all, now and in the future.
Continuing Professional Development is how ecologists and environmental managers, and those aspiring to be, maintain and improve their knowledge and skills, and develop the personal qualities required in their professional lives. With the support of the CIEEM we aim to offer our employees this valuable professional development.
By becoming a member of CIEEM we take on their values of striving for the continued improvement and implementation of environmental legislation and to ensure that messages are clear and unequivocal in terms of what needs to be done to safeguard and enhance the environment in which we live and work in.
Enims and CIEEM recognise the varied roles of ecologists and environmental managers and how they are vital in meeting the twin challenges of climate change and the biodiversity crisis. To do this well, we need to work together to create a diverse, inclusive and healthy profession.
At its best, ecology and environmental management can be a wonderfully rewarding vocation and anyone, regardless of background, gender, faith, ethnicity, sexual orientation or disability, has the potential to contribute. We hope that our contribution to becoming a CIEEM Member will give us the potential to help raise awareness of the roles in ecology that everyone is welcome to be involved in.
At Enims we are aware there is a shortage of applicants for key positions especially at senior level with potential risks of delays to critical infrastructure projects. So we need to attract more young people into the sector to consider a career in ecology and environmental management. We hope to work closely within our CIEEM membership and are excited for upcoming projects that we have in the pipeline to enable us to get the younger generation of ecologists involved and excited about the important work that we do.
