Are you studying towards a degree in conservation/zoology/ecology or similar ?
Are your studying for an A level in Environmental Science?
Or
Do you just have a keen interest in Bats behaviour and environment?
If so we would love to invite you to our introduction to bat survey event at enims Ltd on a date to be fixed week commencing 15th April (weather depending - this will be a late an early evening session to enable us to carry out a mock bat survey. This day will explore the reasons why we carry out bat surveys, the process involved in a bat survey and the invaluable experience you will gain if you choose to join us for this years bat season.
This is an opportunity for you to understand how enims run their bat survey season, our experienced ecologists will run through a mock bat survey at our Southampton Office so that you feel comfortable and confident in learning all the required techniques to become a successful and valued member of our 2024 Bat team.
The Role
This is a flexible role although we do expect dedication to the surveys you agree to undertake. You can commit to as many or as few surveys as you want throughout the survey season. Our ecologists have access to our company pool cars to enable us to arrive on site together therefore the only travel expense you will incur is to our base at the Southampton Science Park in Chilworth. Depending on travel time to each site – the main survey times are dusk surveys which begin 30 minutes before sunset and end an hour and a half/ two hours after sunset.
You will be paid per survey at a rate of £55 per survey.
