Job description

As a part of our environmental services which enims offer, we have strong teams led by our Ecology Technical Director supporting a diverse range of projects across a number of areas and locations within the UK, delivering ecological services to both private and public sector clients.  Our teams pride themselves on providing our ecological services to our Clients, supporting them achieve their business goals whilst professionally advising on the natural environment, which includes landscape, arboriculture and sustainability all of which are delivered by both in-house teams and external partners, resulting in an innovative and solutions led service. 

Successful candidate

The successful candidate will be involved in generating opportunities, preparation of tenders and over-seeing the delivery and management of a range of ecological deliverables (technical, commercial and Client relationship management).

Working closely with our Technical Director you will take an active role in assuring quality of our ecology services, whilst supporting the mentoring of our junior staff.  The post holder will play a key role within a growing ecology team, developing ecological business for our two offices and helping to nurture an enthusiastic, supportive, safe and productive working environment for everyone who works within enims.


  • You will have experience across a range of UK habitats and protected species and will hold (or have held) survey and mitigation licences;
  • A proven record of supporting clients through devising and delivering survey programmes, developing pragmatic, cost-effective mitigation, gaining the agreement of regulators and supervising implementation on-site;
  • A proven knowledge of producing Ecological Impact Assessments and writing higher level Ecological Reports and Statements.
  • A proven record of winning work from commercial clients.
  • You need to be a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and have, or be able to demonstrate your interest in working towards, Chartered Ecologist status.
