enims support Kier Highways in showcasing their work in Area 3

Pete Satchell and Ross Baird (enims) teamed up with Martin Noble to demonstrate the biodiversity of the Area 3 network, and to present the range of our ecology work to managers, directors and executive directors from Kier Group.

Pete and Ross prepared a presentation and display on the types of environmental services we deliver to Kier's Area 3 Environment Team, whilst Martin kindly brought along and discussed some rare and protected reptiles - one Smooth Snake and a pair of Sand Lizards. Exclusively found in Surrey, Dorset and Hampshire, these reptiles live in heathland and scrubland adjacent to many parts of the Area 3 network.

The event was a huge success thanks to the significant efforts and fantastic organisation of the Area 3 Kier Highways team, and enims were delighted to have been given the opportunity to be involved.

Feedback from the event has been overwhelmingly positive, with Area 3's Contract Director thanking everyone involved for their "commitment and enthusiasm" throughout the event. Kier Group's Chief Executive said:

"The whole day went down very well and the feedback on the coach after the depot tour was very positive. Please could you pass on my thanks to the depot team as they did a great job of marshalling us around the depot and kept it really interesting and lively”.
