“The importance of environmental and sustainable issues is part of our design process, and ENiMS Ltd work effectively with us in supporting our projects during negotiations with planning authorities.
The experts at ENiMS are very efficient at identifying key issues regarding new legislation on biodiversity.
We have worked with ENiMS on several school campus development projects in the New Forest National Park. Much of our work is educational, but we have encountered bats in listed buildings and barn conversions. We seek ENiMS’ advice early on; often pre-planning, instructing scoping survey work to identify risk and follow this up with more detailed species surveys as required.
We have worked with ENiMS since 2007 and have found them cost-effective. They deal swiftly with queries from clients, ourselves, planning departments and Natural England.”

“The relationship we have nurtured with ENiMS Ltd can make a significant difference to projects being completed cost-effectively and without delay.
ENiMS Ltd have carried out essential ecological work for us mainly involving surveying and mitigation, and their consultants have provided us with advice to guide construction operations efficiently.
During our works on the Trent Valley Four Tracking scheme as part of the West Coast Mainline Modernisation Project; ENiMS Ltd identified badger activity within an outlying sett and conducted detailed night-time surveys. ENiMS Ltd successfully facilitated the disturbance licence application process due to the competence of the staff involved and an established working relationship with Natural England.
ENiMS Ltd are quick to mobilise, which is important in the construction industry where solutions are quite often needed ‘yesterday’!”
Richard Smith – Environmental Consultant
“Our principal area of operation is centred around the M27 corridor, and we have been involved in housing projects in prime city locations in Southampton.
During a proposed scheme for the building of two executive homes in Chilworth we employed the services of ENiMS Ltd to undertake a night-time Bat Survey and Scoping Survey to include all protective species.
We were impressed with their speed and efficiency. They carried out the work in a thorough manner and their reports were concise and simple to understand.
In our opinion they provided an excellent service. We have already recommended them to our other teams of consultants.
It was our first time using their services – but it will not be the last!"

“We have been delighted with their professionalism, superb levels of service, knowledge, flexibility, speedy response times and understanding. Their depth of knowledge across a wide range of areas is excellent and they are always willing to research any ‘unusual’ questions that we might ask in areas which may not necessarily be within our original remit to them.
We initially contacted ENIMS when our Quality and Health and Safety Consultant of 20 years unexpectedly had to leave us on health grounds. ENIMS responded immediately to our request for help. Pete Satchell listened carefully to our requirements and was able to match us perfectly to the ideal consultant for our needs, by introducing us to Cheryl Burgess.
Cheryl has been a wonderful asset to our company. She has revolutionised the way we work with respect to our quality system, health and safety system, business planning and disaster recovery procedures, by simplifying and up-dating our systems, enabling them to be far more user friendly and accessible, but not compromising them in any way. She is also in the process of working towards certification for ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems, of which we had no previous experience. Cheryl is guiding us through this process with tremendous efficiency and thoroughness.
The changes Cheryl has implemented have meant that some of the staff have had to change their methods of working, but Cheryl has been superb at managing this change at every stage. All the staff were extremely happy with our previous provider and did not want the change which inevitably had to come due to his ill health. However, our staff immediately warmed to Cheryl thanks to the way in which she introduced changes with such consideration – always in consultation with our team - which enabled them to feel a major part of the change process and consequently they viewed it in a very positive light allowing it to benefit the company hugely.
We have a large customer base, some of whom are large multi-national companies and all of them, without exception, are hugely impressed with work that Cheryl has done. She is a wonderful asset to our company.
I am extremely happy to recommend ENiMS unreservedly."

“As one of the country’s leading house builders, we have a duty to treat environmental concerns earnestly, ensuring a balance between the needs of people and wildlife.
David Wilson Homes Southern employed the services of E.N.i.M.S. Ltd to carry out essential ecological work on a site with detailed planning permission for 44 dwellings in Winnersh, Berkshire.
The 2.5 acre site was inherited from our sister company, Barratt Homes, who had previously worked with E.N.i.M.S. and recommended their services.
E.N.i.M.S. dealt efficiently with our ecological requirements, including a bat survey and scoping survey which included all protective species, furthermore they successfully guided us through the Natural England licensing procedure.
All work was carried out professionally and diligently with reports being concise and easy to understand. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and look forward to working with them on future projects.”
