Our Team
All members of our ecological team are fully qualified ecologists with 1st degree as a minimum qualification and further qualifications within their specialised ecological field.
Within the E.N.i.M.S. Ecology Division all Natural England licensed protected species are managed within our team and each team member holds one or more licence(s) for European Protected Species.
All team consultants are members of IEEM and are actively encouraged to maintain their CPD which allows this division to keep updated on best practices and legal requirements.
Our consultants provide our clients with a practical, dependable and very proactive service. A combination of their knowledge in the Natural Environment coupled with their interest in all our clients' projects, ensures our clients receive the most cost-effective and highest quality service for their projects.
Our Skills
All of the ecology team are given the opportunity to work on a wide range of ecological projects which are mainly based within this country and these include ecological surveys and on Motorways & Highways, existing habitats and protected species assessments on both green and brown field sites which have been identified for housing developments, we are experts in gaining MFA permits for emergency engineering works on Marine or Coastal sites.
Members of the E.N.i.M.S. ecology team hold both PTS and permits for working on the Underground networks, some of the team have recently been involved in the closing down of old rail routes and supporting the re-construction of new sustainable transport routes including cycleways and trams.
The E.N.i.M.S. ecology team have been appointed as lead consultants for the Government backed Eco-Town development Rackheath Eco-Community in North Norfolk, where they have been involved in all protected species surveys and supporting the design team with conservation and bio-diversity design.
The ecology team are all experts in producing robust ecological support for planning applications, the team's clear understanding of both Planning Policy Statements and the completion of Local Planning Authority’s Bio-diversity checklists. Our senior consultants have been involved in Public Enquires. We are regularly requested to complete Breeam assessments reports for Commercial and Education facilities allowing our clients to gain high environmental scoring for their developments. Our knowledge of Codes for Sustainable Homes allows our clients to design ecological elements within the structures at the build design stage which provides savings throughout the development and gives the project the highest credits possible.

We would all like the luxury of long lead-in times to projects and at E.N.i.M.S. we advocate as much forward planning as possible, however we are also fully aware of the need to call upon us to help at short notice. All of the team within the Ecology division are very experienced in reacting to support our clients at short notice and coupled with our previous experience within most aspects of ecology and our interested team we will advise immediately when we are asked and will offer support to your project and deliver in the most economic way without compromising on our standards or the quality of service that you expect from us.
